When The La's arrived on the scene, in the late 1980s, they came across as being just ever such a little bit... out of time. Yes, the Stone Roses were making jangly retro pop, but it somehow seemed current. It is hard to believe that it's 10 years since the La's eponymous debut was released. Marking the anniversary their record label Go! Discs have repackaged the album and have included 5 extra tracks. This was the only album the La's ever managed to release but they still exert a profound influence to this day. Mainman Lee Mavers discounted the album when it was released citing he's unhappiness with the way the songs ended up sounding. He promised a follow up that never came.
