'The Last Supper' is an oddly backwards-looking release from Grave Digger, one that seems intent to revive their original eighties heavy metal sound, while simultaneously forgetting to play at twice the band's modern speed. With eighties-style riffs played at the band's nineties tempo, this is a very generic-sounding album of old-school metal that seems primarily targeted at retro metal fans, and will likely disappoint anyone approaching Grave Digger through their more recent, epic work.
