Thea Gilmore is a young singer-songwriter from Oxfordshire. She creates spiky, folk songs with a strongly individual and quite British style. She is a prolific artist (this being her 3rd studio album, recorded age 21) but hasn't quite gained widespread success, though I believe she is now getting attention on Radio 2. This album is constructed around Gilmore's acoustic guitar but it is fleshed out variously by string elements, additional guitars and some interesting percussion in places.
