Advantages: The wonderfully, almost moving track ‘Stan’

Disadvantages: You will, undoubtedly, find some of his opinions offensive. You just have to take them with a pinch of salt.

The latest album from the controversial rapper is not for the faint-hearted! Within the space of an hour, Eminem launches scathing attacks on all members of society, with particular reference to Britney Spears and he seems to bear a grudge against society in general.
The most sensitive and poignant track on the album is entitled ‘Stan’, which even if you generally don’t like Eminem, I urge you to listen to this track. Its one of those songs which you listen to once and you can’t stop thinking about it for the rest of the day.
Another first rate track is ‘Kim’, ‘devoted’ to his wife. This starts off gently enough before launching into a furious attack on ‘Kim’ and his life in general.
‘Marshall Mathers’, the self-titled track provides a platform for Eminem to express his disgust at the music industry, slating Ricky Martin, N’Sync and Britney in one breath.
The current single ‘The Real Slim Shady’ although good is not the best on the album and is not representative of the standard of the album.
One thing I must mention about this album is that it is not for those who are easily offended, with Eminem’s rants covering all niches of society and the f-word cropping up constantly. One word of advice, don’t play this album when there are small children around.
