Breakdown: Very Best Of Euphoric Dance 2009
by benlepensive - written on 10/08/09 (Very useful, 11 readings)
Rating:
I am in my element when it comes to Euphoric dance music, so this compilation is right up my street. It gathers some of the cutting end trancey tunes from 2009. I have selected some of my highlights. Steve Angello and fellow swede Laidback Luke turn in an almighty reworking of an old Robin S track. 'Show Me Love' resonates with some thumping bass and manages to use her vocal to great effect. Sounds great very very loud, even if this is the dub. Another Swede, Eric Prydz continues to reinvent himself, 'Pjanoo' is built around a simple but effective piano riff which just builds and builds until it comes crashing down in one major breakdown. Steer clear of a ...

Nightmare Revisited - Soundtrack

Rating:
When I first got this I was a little iffy, Nothing can compare to the original Nightmare before christmas music. But anyway I played it and I was UBERLY impressed, Marilyn Manson did Is This Halloween? and I dont normally like his music but this was brilliant! Overture *** DeVotchKa This is basically What's this instrumental without the guitars and drums I don't know what they call the instrument but they play it with both hands and pull and push it whilst pressing buttons to create the sound(I never can quite figure out the name) Any way it is a good track but compared to all the Rock on this CD it just doesn't mount up to it all. Opening * Danny ...

Clubbers Guide 2009
by Greenyman - written on 13/07/09 (Very useful, 17 readings)
Rating:
2009 is the latest CD in the clubbers guide series. Each year they bring out a new CD compiled of classic club songs as well as new releases from famous Artists and DJs. They always manage to achieve a perfect balance of dance, trance and electro and this year is no different. They have got all the classics from our favourite artists such as Tiesto, September, Ferry Corsten and Basshunter. As well as these, there are some great new remixes including the Steve Angello and Laidback Luke remake of Show me Love . The Ting Tings make an appearance with a happy remix of Be the one . If you are a fan of this genre of music you are more than likely to be aware of Deadmau5 who ...

Products similar to The No. 1 Dance Classics Album
With No Human Intervention - Aborym
An interesting project combining extreme metal and dance/industrial.
True fusion is rare, most songs falling into one category or the other with disappointing simplicity
The Metal Opera - Tobias Sammet's Avantasia
Classic power metal inspired by an epic theme.
Nothing too out of the ordinary or particularly grandiose in this first part.
The Album - Ultrabeat
pretty green eyes
none really
Slaughter And Apparatus - Aborted
Aborted continue to improve, refining and incorporating further melodic elements into their sound.
Owes a significant debt to Carcass' 'Heartwork,' preventing it from being groundbreaking.
Sci-fi Lullabies - Suede
The first disc is amazing
A bit more hit and miss on disc 2
Piece Of Time - Atheist
Innovative, jazzy 80s death metal.
Rather short.
Obscuritatem Advoco Amplectere Me - Abruptum
You may get an unreasonable sense of the connoisseur from owning something so obscure.
The album.
Deceptive Awareness - Ablaze In Hatred
Some great modern doom on the even-numbered songs.
Some incredibly average modern doom in-between.
Aspera Hiems Symfonia - Arcturus
The continuing evolution of (melodic/symphonic/progressive/whatever) black metal.
Deviates from the band's roots and tends to lose the atmosphere.
Abomination - Abomination
Fine early death metal.
Repetitive and derivative.
