Advantages: Its very strong album. Full of single-worthy tracks, and some very special tunes.

Disadvantages: Personally, i don't think there are any.

After thoroughly enjoying there chart topping début album, St. Elsewhere, I had very high expectations of their second studio album, The Odd Couple. And they certainly didn't disappoint.

The Odd Couple has a more polished, matured sound and feel compared to St. Elsewhere. The production of the album is seriosuly top class, and certainly will not disappoint. Cee Lo's vocal performances are razor sharp throughout the album, as are the lyrics.

Despite having a more matured sound, they have managed to retain the same freshness and spark that was so evident in St. Elsewhere. Some would say that the album is more consistently "mainstream" in terms of more people being able to listen to the music, compared to their début album. There is a good balance between fast paced, hip-hop heavy beats and genuinely good vocal melodies.

The album definitely has it's share of "single-worthy" tracks. However, I was actually more impressed with the more musically "beautiful" pieces such as She Knows, Open Book, Neighbour and No Time Soon. These tunes show how Gnarls Barkley are easily one of the most interesting and unique bands around.

If you have a wide range of musical tastes, or If you were a fan of their last album, you will certainly enjoy their second album - The Odd Couple.

Summary: If you liked their first album, you will absolutely love this.
