I felt like doing something different for a change, and so I went a little out of my comfort zone by trying a review on the new Gym Class Heroes release, "The Quilt". It came out in September, and since having them blow up in popularity in 2006 with "As Cruel As School Children", the group has gone on to appeal to so many different audiences, as the Emo (controversial) Alternative Hip Hop band has gained interest from those who are into the Fall out Boys, and other acts like that, as well as some Hip Hop groups which are open-minded in accepting music which differs from what is expected from them. A good album from Gym Class Heroes released in 2007.I liked the sound and style this whole album had to offer.I feel that it was and still is very creative and alternative,it mixes r n b, hip hop and pop all together to create contageously catchy and distinctive sounding songs. I really liked alot of the songs used on this album from the chart ready track: clothes off to my favourite slow sounding track: On My Own Time (Write On!) The whole album was just enjoyable and fun to listen to. It took you through a wide variety of emotions and feelings which for me makes a good album. In December 2001 they independently released their first album ...For The Kids , it was not until 2005 however that they would release their second; The Papercut Chronicles through Fueled By Ramen/Decaydance. As Cruel As School Children is their third studio album to date and was released in 2006, again through Fueled By Ramen/Decaydance. The album contains fifteen tracks and the track titles are set out like a school day.
