Advantages: some really nice songs
Disadvantages: not as fast as their origional stuff, but who cares
The process of belief was bad religions 12th album release and their first back joining their old label epitaph records. It was released in 2002, and when it first came out I was really pleased with what they had managed to do.
The first song supersonic kicks the album off in the usual bad religion style, a very fast and very catchy song. This one has great lyrics and is very catchy, and perhaps it is a bit less punky than a lot of their other stuff but its still a great track.
The second track is fairly decent too, not sure if its as good as supersonic as its not quite as catchy however it's a little slower and its got really great singing in it and the chorus is really good too.
The track sorrow is the 8th on the album and its quite a strange one from bad religion. It starts off very slow which is strange to hear, it then picks up but the singing is still very slow, however for some reason it really works and the lyrics are so meaningful that this has to be my absolute favourite song off the album.
1. Supersonic
2. Prove It
3. Can't Stop It
4. Broken
5. Destined for Nothing
6. Materialist
7. Kyoto Now!
8. Sorrow
9. Epiphany
10. Evangeline
11. The Defense
12. The Lie
13. You Don't Belong
14. Bored and Extremely Dangerous
This album is perhaps a lot less punky than their older stuff, and there isn't any really amazing tracks you just want to sing and go mental to, however the most relaxed style approached by the band is carried off perfectly, perhaps over the years they have changed a bit, but they haven't got worse, they are and always will be a great punk band.
Summary: a great album
