The Proposition is a film written by Nick Cave and this is the soundtrack (also written by Nick Cave) to the movie. The film is a western set in the Australian Outback during the 1880s. It's about family conflict, love and loyalties. Its a really edgy and brilliant movie but I will stick to descriptions of the album...although by rights the two should be acknowledged together.
