Ziemia I Slonce - Ankh
Sometimes successful blending of rock instruments with classical folk violin.
Sometimes not.
The Girl Who Couldn't Fly - Kate Rusby
Beautiful, often haunting
sometimes you want something a little more upbeat..in which case put something else on
Sap - Alice in Chains
Some nice acoustic songs to break up the discography, and some notable guest performers.
Too rooted in blues and repetition to be of real interest.
Monolith - Amebix
Insight into death metal's beginnings.
Too firmly rooted in the past.
Martyn Joseph - Martyn Joseph
Great guitars, honest and powerful lyrics
Depends whether you like the genre
Divinity - Altaria
High quality pop power metal with a broad appeal.
Too repetitive, simplistic and fruity for more seasoned metal fans.
Captain Morgan's Revenge - Alestorm
Hearty tales of wenches and conquest, performed with vigour and power.
Still reliant on others' established styles at this stage.
Andromeda Unchained - Anubis Gate
High quality and still accessible outer-space prog metal.
Some songs are too similar, and it lacks originality.
Alice In Hell - Annihilator
Interesting and different thrash metal.
Bizarreness may obstruct casual listeners.
