The Rising Tied by Fort Minor was produced and mostly performed by Mike Shinoda, with some special guests, and produced by Jay-Z aka Shawn Carter. Fort Minor is a side project of Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park fame. This album has been around for a few years now, being released in 2005, but it is still being discovered by new listeners who usually stumble across it by accident (like I did). The music is quite like the style of Linkin Park, although this is inevitable given the unique quality of Shinoda's voice. Triumph Of Steel - Manowar
Not a bad metal album Too many throwaway songs

Sign Of The Hammer - Manowar
Some of their best material, continuing to evolve the 'Viking metal' sound. Some songs reveal the rushed production.

Queen Of The Damned - Soundtrack
Definitely fitting with the movie, great tracklisting with sexy brooding songs My version has the swear words edited out... grr

Into Glory Ride - Manowar
Perfects the band's epic heavy metal sound, and features many of their finest songs. Too predominantly slow for some.

Hail To England - Manowar
Simplistic and enjoyable classic heavy metal. Disappointing lack of progression after the previous album, and mediocre songs.

Detroit Rock City - Soundtrack
classic 70s rock songs + alcohol = happy bandcamp horrendously awful inclusion of a cover version...

Breathe In - Lucie Silvas
Some lovely vocals with heartfelt lyrics Not keen on a few of the songs

Battle Hymns - Manowar
Classic old-school heavy metal songs on more diverse topics than the band usually covers. Weak and simplistic compared to the second album and others, partly due to the temporary line-up.

Some great songs, great voice Read the review

It Won't Be Soon Before Long - Maroon 5
A few big tunes Inconsistent
