Advantages: Fantastic debut album

Disadvantages: One track was better before it was remixed for the album version

The Same Old Rush With a New Touch is the first of Cute Is what We Aim Fors two albums. I have been to see this band play live several times and bar once thourougly enjoyed it. The reason I was dissapointed when they played the Cockpit Leeds was due to them having a new bassist who didnt know all the songs and therfore had a shortened set and played most songs acoustically, although i'm not a musician myself I am aware the riffs are quite easy to learn so would have expected him to make more of an effort.

Anyway back to the album.....

It is full of catchy pop rock tracks will generally meaningless or sex related lyrics, but still an amazing album. The vocalist Shannt has a very unusual singing voice which is definately one of the appeals of the album. All of the songs have sing-along quality with simple to memorize chorus's which will stick in your mind. Teasing to please unlike the rest of the songs is quite slow with less background music and more focussed on the singing which is a nice change to the rest of the fast paced tracks. Nice song to set as your alarm tune!

I honestly couldnt pick a favourite as they are all equally as catchy, but the lyrics that I find most interesting/funny are..............

Grammatically speaking you're adorable, and from what I hear you're quite affordable ,But I like them pricey
...............
