a distorted string orchestra. Also, I divide the music that I buy at two groups - CDs I listen to at home and CDs I take to work with me. Macy Gray's vibes seemed just right for the quiet and efficient office atmosphere. Still, after listening to her album, I decided that she hasn't written anything as striking as her first hit, 'I Try'. I secretly hoped this song would be on this album as a bonus ... why not? The third album by American R&B/soul singer M Macy Gray The Trouble With Being Myself was released in 2003. This album has recieved good critical acclaim dispite the fact that it wasn t a major success and this just goes to show that sometimes what works critically speaking might not persuade demanding music fans. Although she most definitely will have some loyal fans-and deservingly ...

However, I feel that it’s even better than her first. There is a wide range of different sound and instruments, and a good balance of fast and slow songs. There are no bad tracks, which is hard to find on an album nowadays. There are lots of disco sounds on this album, which weren’t present too often on her debut. Sexual Revolution (disappointingly a flop as a single) and Relating To A Physcopath are my favourite tracks. Boo and Harry are two of them ore laidback tracks that are instant standouts, but all the ...
