... Fionn brought to his introductory record. The lyrics themselves remain somewhat inscrutable, whilst the delivery of them cannot help but remind you of electric Dylan at his finest. "Protection Racket" and "Genocide Matinee" (the second single) scream of Dylan's "Subterranean Homesick Blues" or "Desolation Row". In my opinion, Regan pulls off this transition with what sounds like casual ease.

Dylan. The first thing I thought when I got the chance to see Fionn at Manchester's finest indie hangout, The Deaf Institute. Having only heard the gentle forest acoustics of "The End of History", I was expecting some heartfelt angst and skilful picking, but no! Accompanied by the rock family Danny and the Champions of the World (worth seeing in their own right), Fionn burst in to "Protection Racket", the first single from this sophomore offering by Ireland's most promising singer-songwriter.
