Demon Days - Gorillaz

Premium Review I DARE you to buy this album... (972 words)

the bands first single from this second album But don t get me wrong, there is still a lot of quality music on this album, which I m sure all g Gorillaz fans out there will enjoy immensely, but me as a fairly new fan, mainly having been introduced to these guys by "feel good inc", i was just expecting something a bit different. One huge plus with this album is that there are a good, healthy number of tracks, 15. Many albums these days only average around 10 or so, but gorillaz provide us with enough material to keep us listening for months. The disk starts with an "intro" which does its job perfectly in setting up the tone for the rest of the album. ...

Demon Days - Gorillaz

Crowned Review It's D.A.R.E. (1196 words)

What is says though, isn’t taken as seriously as maybe Albarn might think because of that 2D concept that he has managed to adopt. This is a distraction that fits the world of online graphics and abstract videos gaining an instant popularity in a 21st century that was ...

G-sides - Gorillaz

Crowned Review Let Gorillaz Be Your Shining Light And Your Guiding Star (1598 words)

year ago titled “Gorillaz”. This album however is not really a full album, more a collection of remixes and some new songs, hence “G-Sides” (a play on B-Sides. Duh) The G Gorillaz themselves consist of cartoon characters 2-D (the main vocalist), Murdoc (the weird Satanist bass guitar player), Noodle (looks like he’s Japanese or Asian, and is on the electric guitar) and Russell (who’s a big guy who plays the drums). In reality the vocals are done by Damon Alburn (or Damien) of Blur fame and one other guy. Whoever he is, he puts his name down as Dan the Automator, but his real name remains a mystery to me for now. I could go on forever ...
