Advantages: All Britney Spears' hits

Disadvantages: Poor artwork + Nonsensical Tracklist

The way I see it, Britney Spears is a living legend of the pop world; this collection backs it up. There's everything on here from "...Baby One More Time" to "Three." Unsuprisingly, the quality of the material is consistent throughout.
While her voice may not be the strongest, her material definitely is. You can count upwards of ten tracks on this CD that any listener--fan or not-- would be able to recognise and sing along to.
This CD documents Spears journey: through her debut album; "Oops I Did It Again"-fronted sophomore effort; more sexually-inclined eponymous follow-up; "Toxic" and "Everytime" including "In The Zone"; avant garde "Blackout" effort; and latest full release "Circus." With this collection you can follow Spears' complete career and her artistic journey.
One slight disappointment is the album artwork. It feels rushed and slightly half-hearted. The front cover epitomises this, eight pictures of Spears from throughout her recording career simply placed next to each other. It's shoddy, quite frankly. And her fans deserve better--after all, wasn't her last greatest hits released just a mere four years ago?
And that's another complaint of the release, the tracklist isn't in chronological order. 'Greatest Hits' releases always sound better when you can listen from the first single to the latest--they just do, that's how they work. The mashed-up tracklist for this fails to show her journey chronologically which is a shame for the listener--unless you know the dates of each individual release.

Summary: Most likely a Christmas bonus intended cash-in.
