Advantages: Every track is amazing in its own way
Disadvantages: Some great tracks missing that deserve a place
Just to get this straight... I am a massive Feeder fan, and have followed them from the very start. I still love their tunes to date, therefore just proving how good Feeder's consistency is. This album is jampacked with all Feeder's best tracks, but there are some which I think may be missing, but the one's on here are still amazing.
_Tracks_
1. Come Back Around. This track has a superb beat, with great guitar backing. The lyrics are excellent also and the chorus has an even more amazing guitar bits in it. 9/10.
2. Buck Rogers. I always remember this song from playing on Gran Turismo. I put it on repeat and left it on the whole time. The lyrics are strange, but in a good way. Again the guitar backing lives up to expectations. So, lets all drink cider from a lemon. 9/10
3. Shatter. Right from the very start this track grips you, and doesn't let go right until the end. The chorus is great, and changes into it from the verses excellently. 8/10
4. Just the way I'm feeling. Everything about this song is brilliant, including the name. I love the way it changes from slower and calming in the verses, to faster in the chorus. But the change is so cleverly done, that it's hard to notice. That is because you should be too busy admiring the song. 10/10
5. Lost and Found. One of Feeder's most recent tracks, yet again they do not fail to fill expectations. The start of the song is superb and usually gets me clapping along. Personally I think this track is more of a 'grower on me' but I now love it almost as much as Feeder's older stuff. 8/10
6. Just a Day. This is definitely one of Feeder's faster tracks, but if you can keep up with the lyrics, you will be impressed. Again as usual, Feeder manage to fulfill there amazing reputation so far on this album. Another cracker from the band. 9/10
7. High. The opposite to the previous track, this is one of Feeder's slower tracks. What I love about Feeder is their ability to do slower and faster tracks to the same ability. This track is outstanding, I can listen to it over and over again without getting bored. 10/10
8. Comfort in Sound. I only have one thing to say about this track. It definitely gives me comfort in listening to it's sound. Superb. 10/10
9. Feeling a Moment. I love the start of this song. It's perfect. Jumps straight into the music and gets you going. The lyrics on this track are also great. That's another thing I love about Feeder. All their lyrics are great and make sense, plus you can understand what they are saying. 9/10
10. Burn the Bridges. It just keeps going. The consistency is so good. It just doesn't stop. Im almost certain that every song I have heard by Feeder (pretty much all of them, including acoustic and promo version), is amazing. I just don't know how they do it. 9/10
11. Tumble and Fall. I love this track. I know I keep saying the lyrics are great, but it's true, they have done it again, they are brilliant. The guitar backing here is again superb as always. The drum beat is simple but really effective and works really well. 10/10
12. Forget About Tomorrow. It just keeps getting better. I don't know what I will do if Feeder ever fail to produce a bad track. I will be amazed, because I have never heard one. I love the instrument in the background on this one; not entirely sure what it is, but it adds a great touch to the track. 10/10
13. Tender. One word. Wow. Ok two more words. Great work. 9/10
14. Pushing the senses. Well this track definitely pushes my hearing the sense, and that's for the better. It's amazing. Superb. Intriguing. Excellent. Breath-taking. Immense. 10/10
15. Save Us. This is another slower one from Feeder (apart from the chorus). I like it because it's calming, yet gets you going at the same time. I am going to put that one down to the drum beat in the background. 9/10
16. Seven days in the Sun. I often think this track is very similar to Buck Rogers, but after listening to them a lot they are very unique in their own great way. My favourite line: 'he likes to cross dress every friday night with clothes from prada'. Songs don't usually make me laugh but I'm pretty sure when I first heard this one it did. 8/10
17. Insomnia. This is probably the track I have least listened to on the whole album. Which is a shame really, because I just started recently listening to it again and realised how excellent it actually was. My hat is off once again to you Feeder. Great work. 9/10
18. Turn. I would describe this track as 'abstract'. It's great. It's different, but different in a good way, if you can understand what I mean. 9/10
19. Yesterday went to soon. I always know what song it is when it comes on. Straight away. I don't know why, but it's a good thing, because everyone wants to know what it is so they can buy it, and I can tell them. Everybody wins. Great tune. Super drum beat in the background; it gives it that edge. 10/10
20. Suffocate. I don't think they have saved the best until last. That is probably the only criticism you will ever hear about Feeder from my lips. Its also pretty good. But however, I don't like it as much as the others. So therefore it will be the only one rated below an 8. Still good. 7 and a half / 10.
_Overall_
This album is utterly amazing, and no music collection is complete without it. There is a great mix of tracks that will appeal to anyone and everyone. Everything down to the artwork is brilliant. Especially the pose on the front. Very vintage. It is a must buy. I urge you, buy it. I will buy it for you if you are a Feeder skeptic, and prove to you just how good they really are. An overall 10 out of 10. But it, or I will buy it for you, just to show how good Feeder really are.
Summary: A quality album for any feeder or non-feeder fan.
