 ... classic Pretenders guitar riffs and rhythm, but the lyrics seem to be from the point of view of a mother talking to her child. 3. Brass in Pocket This is quite a well known song and I think it has been used on an advert at some time. It has a great melody but the lyrcis never make much sense to me! 4.Talk of the Town This is one of my favourite tracks. I decided to review this album as I noticed no-one else had and I have been playing it again recently after digging it out of my huge CD pile. Some people aren't huge fans of Greatest Hits type albums, but I always like to have the well known songs together. The Pretenders were formed back in the late 1970s I think and had most of their hits in the 1980s. I don't remember being in to them at the time, in fact I can't remember when I did get into them to be honest. Maybe I was rifling through my Mum's record collection!
