Spaghetti anyone (Spaghetti Incident - Guns n' Roses)
Member Name: gerschwin
Advantages: It's a laugh Disadvantages: Stopgap album
Forget Unplugged, this is the way to release a stopgap album between tours and recording. Here Guns N' Roses pick a mere dozen tunes which helped inspire them to become musicians and, for the most part, record relatively faithful cover versions. The Johnny Thunders estate will be collecting windfall royalties from both a New York Dolls and a solo cover, Axl sounds hilarious on The Skyliners' 1958 classic Since I Don't Have You, and bassist Duff McKagan steps out with three strong lead vocals, including The Damned's New Rose. Though nine of the chosen songs are associated with punk, the production is outdoor stadium gig friendly and this will sell millions, nobly helping out some forgottens down the Old Punks Home.
