Cherish consists of four African-American sisters, ages ranging from twenty-three to twenty-five years old. They burst onto the scene with the infectious r'n'b club track Do It To It, reaching a top twenty position on America's Billboard 100. Their debut album went gold and things were looking up for the King sisters. Then it all went wrong. A lack of promotion from their record label, who have a history of neglecting their urban artists, constant pushbacks, and a release date many were unaware of led to the The Truth flopping hard on the charts- 13,000 copies sold. Cherish is an R&B group from Atlanta, Georgia. They have a distinctive sound as much of their production is done by Jazzy Pha, who works closely with Ciara. Both she and Cherish sing their R&B tunes to club music, and the club music which is the most popular in this southern state is Crunk, so it is considered to be Crunk & B. Something else key to the group is that they are all sisters, with a set of twins, so it's expected that they will work together well and should stick around for a while.
