'Lost Highway' is a 1997 cult thriller movie by director David Lynch and this is the movie's soundtrack. The album reflects the dark mystery and horror of the movie, infact the whole album is like some kind of freak-out. It's scary music, even on the softer, dreamier instrumental tracks the music unsettles rather than soothes. Overall the soundtrack has a hard, punky rock style and there is a kind of violence and a perverse sense of sexuality that pervades the music. Those listening out for the romance of Twin Peaks musician Angelo Badalamenti won't find much of it here.
