Another CD to add to the extensive back catalogue from the artist formerly known as Squiggle! Warner Brothers have released this 'Very Best of' compilation and who is to know if Prince is happy about that. I may be wrong, but I think a dispute with Warner Brothers was the very reason he changed his musical name? All I know is I was delighted when I bought this CD after a spur of the moment choice in HMV. I've always liked most Prince singles but never invested in an album. I've no idea why!! It is debatable as to whether this really is a ‘best of’ album, when tracks such as ‘Most Beautiful Girl in the World’ and ‘Baby I’m a Star’ are suprisingly absent. This album has only recently been released and contains seventeen of his best tracks throughout his various eras and personas. The album is pretty good on the whole. 1.) I Wanna Be Your Lover – Not a bad track to start the album of with. I’m not sure which album this track appears on or who he was with when it was created.
