Advantages: a good round of ballads old and new and upbeat tracks
Disadvantages: doesnt include a lot of other hits
There are a few best of collections of roy orbison on cd this one was released in 1996 and contains some of he's best song while also missing a lot of he's other hits and best tracks.
fitting on 1 cd you get a lot of he's earlier hits like pretty woman and onely the loney along with he's later hits like i drove all night and you got it.
Nicknamed the big O roy orbison is classed by many as having in the greatest voice with its almost operatic tones he had a good range that could be both used for rock or ballad.
orbison died in i think 1988 at what id say was the peak of he's career , having just released the brilliant mystery girl album and having a big hit with you got it it was a sad loss to popular music.
This cd has a good allsortment of the hits he has produced over the years fromt he early songs like pretty woman and working for the man to the latter material.
orbisons voice seemed to get better with age and id highly recomend he's mystery girl album from 1987.
This cd is a good collection it holds a lot of tracks both ballad and upbeat it however misses alot of tracks he is also famous for. but with 1 cd this is a good purchase.
if you like elvis and qulaity singers you will love roy orbison as elvis said himself i wish i could sing like roy.
