Ah Cliff Richard!! You can't exactly blame him for choosing to call one of his many Greatest Hits packages "The Whole Story," without trying to emulate the same success that Kate Bush has had with her original title of a similar concept. But alas whilst Cliff's singles and album itself languishes in the nearly forgotten stages of Fan Fodder, Kate Bush's "The Whole Story," still sells massively, appearing on bargain shelves and sale times seasonally on many shelves of high street record shop outlets such as HMV, Virgin Records and Fopp and cheekily, returns to its original price half way through the end of the year. This is a long review!! ... Read the complete review

Adjectives like unique and sensational can be a little overworked, however in the case of Kate Bush they are accurate and justified. It was not that just her sound was unique as she always had an incomparable song-writing talent as well as a groundbreaking stage presence founded on a peerless expressive movement style. 'Wuthering Heights' remains one of the truly great pop songs. From the opening bars of Bush's plaintive opening vocal to the note perfect guitar solo at the end this will always be a tremendous song. This is a track that manages to be stunningly simple and yet majestically complex at the same time. The song grabs the attention and does not let ... Read the complete review

Recently, viewers of VH1 had the opportunity to vote for who they thought were the best female singers ever. In typical contemporary list-compiling style, modern artists like Anastacia and Nelly Furtado were deemed to be better than the likes of Billie Holliday and Dionne Warwick, whilst 21 year old Britney Spears was riding high in the Top 10, mixing it with Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner. The only British artists to accompany Britney et al in the crème de la crème was Kate Bush, a somewhat surprising appearance for an artist notorious in keeping a low profile, and who hasn't released a song in 8 years. Born in 1958, she burst onto the scene as a ... Read the complete review

I absolutely love this album, basically because it has all the songs I love. Kate Bush has not made music for a long time. Recent news tells of her planning to bring out another album in the near future (I hope!) Shes known to be a perfectionist so she is probably working really hard. She also has a family to cater for as well so perhaps we won't hear from her in years to come. I don't know much about the life of Kate Bush yet as this is only the beginning of my escapades along Kate Bush territory but I know this much... She makes great music and has great talent. I first heard Kate Bush singing on Top of The Pops 2 once upon a time and she ... Read the complete review

Mad, staring, wide open eyes ... manic, sensual, elegant ... from Banshee to Diva ... the Kate Bush magic has touched the world and left it very, very frightened ... a staggering, headstrong beast of a woman and yet at the same time as fragile as a daisy ... talent pours out of every orifice! Bush is a wonderful phenomenon who has been extremely quiet of late, but for a time between 1978 and 1986 she was one of the most important acts in the entire world, a gorgeous, theatrical, swooning talent who wrote some of the strongest songs of the early 80's. This album captures the very best of her recorded works (although her duet with Peter Gabriel is ... Read the complete review
