Rating:
Thunder were the one of a ton of rock bands from the 90's that have now disappeared into obliviion. This cd charts the 'hits' that the band had, which most of the general public won't of heard of... All of the tracks have that 90's rock feel, similar to the Bon Jovi style of rock music from the same period. Products similar to Their Finest Hour (and A Bit) ...
Unquestionable Presence - Atheist
Tight performance without excess.
Too unpredictable for some.
The Doomsday Machine - Arch Enemy
A heavier sound than its predecessor, and the return of great guitars.
Most songs still fail to make the grade, and Gossow is worse here than ever.
Terminal Spirit Disease - At The Gates
Superb vocals, and lyrics, great song structure and hugely atmospheric
Quite short, though bolstered by some great live tracks.
Robyn - Robyn
A good mix of songs
None
Raiders Of The Ark - Astral Doors
Mostly unique material.
Samey.
Dead Eyes See No Future - Arch Enemy
Unique material, with some interesting covers.
Live versions are a little disappointing, and the Megadeth cover is terrible.
Burning Japan Live - Arch Enemy
A nice range of songs from the first three albums.
Too early for a live album, and there's nothing particularly exciting about it.
Boogie 2nite - Booty Luv
Shamelessly feel-good pop/dance music
Tracks very similar - simple recipe
Astralism - Astral Doors
A more energetic take on the Astral Doors sound.
Subject matter feels a little too arbitrary.
A Celebration Of Guilt - Arsis
Inventive and excellent melodic death metal.
Lack of variety for those used to the Gothenburg scene.
