Advantages: Tons of tracks for a relatively low price

Disadvantages: Some of the more 'experimental' songs may put first time listeners off

This CD combines They Might Be Giants first two albums plus loads of b-sides and stuff. It's great value for money since it works out cheaper than buying the first two albums on CD from Amazon.

I probably wouldn't recommend this to anyone who hasn't heard They Might Be Giants, or has only heard 'Birdhouse in your soul' or 'Boss of me'. However, for those interested and looking to delve a little further into the TMBG catalogue, it's a great starting point. Their second album, 'Lincoln' is arguably their most consistent effort, with only a minor amount of filler (but since TMBG's style is so eclectic, filler to one person could be another's favourite song!). The b-sides and rarities included are a mixed bag, but if you consider them surplus to the main attraction (the first two albums) then this compilation is great value for money. Guaranteed there is something here for everyone vaguely interested in alternative/indie music.

Summary: A great addition to any alternative/indie CD collection!
