Advantages: Catchy great, varied songs
Disadvantages: none
Released ten years ago in 1999 this is the third album by the legendary Foo Fighters, and very significantly the first time that the amazing drummer Taylor Hawkins is seen with the band.
This album has some songs on it which may be considered quite poppy for them but gladly it still has the rawness that make the Foo Fighters so unique and talented. Songs such as Ain't it the life and Aurora demonstrating this perfectly. What makes this album so good however is that we are still faced with some of the great powerful and energetic music that we like to hear from the Foo Fighters with tracks such as Stacked Actors and Break Out. David Grohl is simply a phenomenon and this album showed his continuing success. The songs on the album are heavy and rocky, yet beautiful at the same time, this surely being the most varied album they had produced up until this point. If you have not heard any of their stuff (if thats Possible) and want a nice introduction to the Foos, this would be a good start it shows their melodic and their heavy rock capabilities and has a large number of catchy tunes...A great album!
