With Fear I Kiss The Burning Darkness - At The Gates
Excellent guitar and drum performance, high in energy throughout.
Chaotic structure is problematic and detracts from the enjoyment.
Unspoken Dialect - Hondo MacLean
Fantastic mix of Metalcore and Post-Hardcore.
May be a little too heavy for some.
Three Imaginary Boys - The Cure
The cover of Foxy Lady is insanely good, Smith's take on new-wave/punk is different
A couple of the songs do little to stand out
The Merciless - Aura Noir
Old-school thrashy black metal for those who feel modern black metal has lost its way.
Short and lacking in originality.
Terminal Spirit Disease - At The Gates
Superb vocals, and lyrics, great song structure and hugely atmospheric
Quite short, though bolstered by some great live tracks.
Ruiner - A Wilhelm Scream
A brilliantly unpredictable album which is always a joy to listen to.
Not a fan of Melodic Hardcore? Not one for you.
Loser - Ayreon
A great song from the new album, and a nice take on the older 'Castle Hall.'
Central two songs are fairly poor.
Impossible Princess - Kylie Minogue
A superb and personal album that is thought provoking and musically diverse
The fact that in the blink of an eye, this path was abandoned in favour of a return to pop
Day Eleven: Love - Ayreon
Generous and excellent representation of the forthcoming album, with well-chosen and diverse covers.
If metal opera isn't your thing, run to the hills.
Come Back To Me - Ayreon
First song is fun, in a silly sort of way.
B-sides aren't particularly good, and one of them is despicable.
