Advantages: The sexiest Missy record to date

Disadvantages: more duds than usual

;This Is Not A Test' follows the massively successful 'Under construction'.
Just over a year separated the albums and Missy herself admits that the short time span may have impaired quality. While true, some tracks might fall short of expectations, others blow the predecessors hits out of the water.
After the inro, the album launches into the lead single 'Pass that Dutch', and incredibility fast paced and frantic rap that earns the break in the middle where Missy permits us '5 seconds to catch your breath'.
'i'm Really Hot' is a slurring, sexy track with tripping verses and sexy chorus's.
The highlight of the album for me was 'Let me fix my weave', which seems to be a tongue and cheek rap about what hair, but on further listens shows itself to be just as sexually aggressive and empowering as Missy;s biggest hit 'Work it'.

There are some other tracks on the record that migt seems a little overproduced, where Elliot's lyrics are witty and sufficient enough, and others witch can be quite forgettable.

Overall, This is Not a Test is a darker humour, but the humour is still there, again, just darker. A must for any fan
