Rating:

The sole black metal pioneer previously missing from my collection for no particular reason, Marduk is among the more impressive of the elite, particularly in the early albums. Superb live versions of metallica classics with a diffrence Little bit too much Orchestra sometimes, not often though

2'cds

Rare material made readily available. Primitive compared to contemporary studio releases.

Heavy Metal - 1997

Interesting diversion. Less exciting than the band's usual work.

With Oden On Our Side - Amon Amarth
Reasonable melodic death metal. Amon Amarth are losing their touch.

Sign In Please - Autograph
Van Halen fans may enjoy the inferior imitation. There are many disadvantages.

Second Wind - Brian Auger
Jazz-rock fusion for fans, with talented performances from Auger. Confused direction, and tedious.

Once Sent From The Golden Hall - Amon Amarth
Accessible and distinctive melodic death metal. Longer songs tend towards repetition.

March Of The Saint - Armored Saint
Classic heavy metal with great vocals. Lacking in ideas and incredibly derivative.

Loaded - Aunt Mary

Fate Of Norns - Amon Amarth
Reasonably epic. Dull and lacking in energy.

Concealed - Augury
Truly innovative and experimental progressive death metal that retains all its power. Won't be to more traditional metal fans' tastes.

Breakfast In Biarritz - Arena
Pop - 2001

Avenger - Amon Amarth
More aggressive and exciting than its predecessor, with a fine performance all round. Some of the same old problems remain.
