Advantages: something for everybody, biggest selling album of all time
Disadvantages: bit cheesey cover
Thriller remains the best selling album off all time. It has sold over 26 million copies worldwide and has won 8 Grammy awards. Thriller was the international phenomenon of the 80's. Now that tells you something. I am a HUGE Michael Jackson fan (and hell knows the stick I have to put up with from my friends!!!) and have all the albums. This I have to say is one of my favourites. It crafts a perfect mixture of R&B and pop and even though produced in the early 80's- still sounds good 24 years on. It contains the mega smash hits- Billie Jean, Beat it, and of course Thriller. My favourite track is called PYT (Pretty young thing) and is a great upbeat groovy song. (It is great to dance to when no one is in the house and you can unleash those killer dance moves and shake that booty of yours!!) The other tracks are: Wanna be strating something (another groovy unique dance tune) Baby is Mine (good beat in this song) The girl is mine- duet with Paul McCartney (Not 1 of my favourites - a bit slow but ok) Human Nature (pretty cool tune - good balance of R&B and pop) The Lady in my life (worst track on the album- too slow for micheal j riuns the album) Overall this album is filled with alot more dancey upbeat tunes that some of the other albums, but all songs are completely unique. No other artist could do the songs justice like Michael does- you may laugh at his high pitched -owwwwww, but they make the song Michael's. I would recommend this to anyone - not only if they just enjoy lots of beats and dance tunes, but I think there is something on there for everybody. All the songs are completely different to each other (unlike some of the artists these days) and is a great album. If you see it BUY IT!! You will not be sorry!!
