Advantages: All

More than 25 years on from terminating their mission as Throbbing Gristle, a decay enriched growth has lead the individual band members on an unending journey through a rich and fertile underground, via various rhizomes (Coil, Psychic TV, Chris & Cosey), to be reunited once again on a present day plateau with 'Part Two: The Endless Not'. TG resurfaced are at their best and remain one of the most raw, primal, powerful and hair raisingly dark sound events one can imagine. Industrial magic! Poetic terrorism! To experience them 'live' is unexplainable! You must be in the physical presence of the 'wall of sound', to truly get them, or to be gotten. You will be got. There is no such thing as being passive with TG. To listen to a recording though, is to be denied a truly visceral engagement no matter how high your knobs go! Even if they go up to 11! There is no substitute for the 'live' experience. That said, 'Endless Not', shivers and provokes, is rough, archaic, sacred, thoroughly engaging and ultimately profound! Literally 'Throbbing'! A much welcomed return. An eternal return!

TG doesn't do encores and perhaps I shouldn't do highlights, but as personal favorites go, 'Lyre Liar' rolls like a thick oil wave in a Tsunami. Mind the twangs and electric choppers overhead. 'Rabbit snare' a Lynchian Dream, cue dwarves walking backwards and flowing velvet curtains. 'Vow of Silence' a cacophony of aural hallucinations, tantric chants, chasing of invisible gerbils while the demons dance. Colorful, playful, insightful, at times flawed, at others ingenious, but always very well orchestrated.

TG today are most certainly on another level having moved from a raw, cutting uncouth towards a more hauntingly rich deep sublime, but they need no introduction, justification, or summery from me. As a devout admirer, I am simply putting this down for the record! Welcome back!

Summary: The only answer to destruction is creation!
