This classic album begins with a track written by the majorly influential Ginger of The Wildhearts, Brand New ... more ... Hate, regarded by some as the UK's best songwriter (including me!). While the concept of the song is a little cheesy and slightly amateur the track is very catchy and made up of heavy powerchords.
The Babies follow this with UFO Romeo which is a bit heavier and more hard hitting and made up of some of the most memorable guitar riffs ever.
For me though, there are two tracks which stand out as major hits on this album and I would even go as far as to say that one of them is the best heavy rock song ever written, A Son...more |

For those of you that don't know, Backyard Babies are a heavy rock band who are strongly influenced by the likes of The Ramones amongst other successful punk rock icons. Their style is typically sex, drugs and rock n roll which is clearly conveyed by their lyrics and their songs are always very melodic and catchy which makes them very memorable. This classic album begins with a track written by the majorly influential Ginger of The Wildhearts, Brand New Hate, regarded by some as the UK's best songwriter (including me!). The album is fun to listen to, the tracks strong to sing along to. 
All of the bands other albums are a lot better, the tracks all lack passion. A complete collection of the entire recording life of Level 42.. We are reminded of some of their less than average singles.. 2nd greatest record label ever, Sheer variety of music later stuff sometimes doesn't really cut it Contains many popular Cure hits, some new stuff, and a limited edition acoustic versions CD with some recordings that supercede the original studio versions, in my opinion Commercially biased, nary a look in to the darker side of The Cure, there's a few dud songs in there, and the inlay booklet's a bit sparse Amazing deep resonating lyrics Maybe some people will think it a bit sameySolo Piano - Philip Glass
