I'd like to say from the start that the soundtrack to the film is great (I have both CDs). The 'Titanic Suite' maybe one of the best scores of music I have ever heard (maybe except Schindler's List!). However, he's not original. Just take a look at Jumanji or and of the Land Before Time films not to mention The Rocketeer. The scores for these films are strikingly similar. What's wrong with that? Well for a start, it's a cheap way for James Horner to get loads of money (on average for him, £3 million a film). Nothing wrong with that? Well there is. Other people in the business show a wider range or imagination, not just a cheesy piano number, etc. People such as Hans Zimmer or John Williams are such people - imaginative, wide range of genre, etc.

By all means, buy the soundtracks, nut once you've heard one, you've heard them all.
