Trying to analyse a unique and diverse artist such as David Bowie, it is the ultimate difficult task of configuring who was the real Bowie and what was his exceptional work. I have read several concepts on the album, ‘Tonight,’ and because I am not the altogether, die hard, ‘dye my hair orange and call me Ziggy,’ Bowie fan. I have managed to accept this true enough poor album by Bowie as an exceptional album by a different side of Bowie. Fans and critic now agree that the follow up disc, Tonight, was an absolute failure. The two singles - Loving The Alien and Blue Jean - being the only saving grace on an otherwise lacklustre outing. The 1995 reissue added the tracks This Is Not America, As The World Falls Down and Absolute Beginners bringing the total number of good tracks up to five - all of which are on the 2CD singles set. Even a duet with Tina Turner's not worth the ... Read the complete review
