You don't have to be a fan of Top Gear to get into this compilation album. Two discs of fantastic music, the first cd predominantly being classic tracks that you just want to drive somewhere with great winding roads, put the windows down and blast out your window full blast, the second CD being more contemporary hits. Both CD's are good in their own right but the first CD outclasses the second one in terms of the cool factor, with great tracks like "Jessica" and The Blue Oyster Cult's "Don't Fear The Reaper", which could potentially be one of the best songs on the CD, if not the world. “Top Gear Anthems” was heralded as the perfect driving CD. Now, for me it is certainly the case, but that is because the music is to my taste, but it is not a mainstream CD by any stretch of the imagination. It is a double compilation CD that starts with “Bitch” by Meredith Brooks. In America, she is a household name, but this seems to the only hit she will have in the UK. This song is about woman are expected to take on many roles on life and never complain. A great song.
