Premium Review Total Brutal - Austrian Death Machine: Putting the fun back into music (335 words)

Rating:

In an age where everywhere you look there are people moaning and arguing over frivolous parts of music from 'specific sub genres' to 'sellout artists,' there is now and again an album that reminds you that music is all about having fun. And what can be more fun than a tribute to thrash metal in the form of everone's favourite action star - Arnie. Here we have an album that is every film nerd's dream with titles referencing the more meme-tastic lines from Arnie's extensive catalogue, including 'Get to the choppa,' If it bleeds, we can kill,' and 'It's not a tumour.' Good vocals, ballads A couple of weaker links

Bold and successful change of direction (if temporary). Very little to appeal to long-time fans.

Nice orchestra... ...shame about the band (well, except the drummer).

Fair forgery of the symphonic black metal style. No original ideas, and dull execution.

Bangers throughout Underrated

Great catchy riffs and excellent songwriting Not very original, but then who cares.
