Atomkraft possibly changed the metal world forever with their brand of proto-thrash metal but with several band line-up changes and a lack of commercial success, they are rarely credited with it. Initially just another band in the NWOBHM movement, their style differed from their contemporaries as they played a quicker brand of metal with vocals ranging from an almost motorhead sound to the occasional screaming track and heavy militant drumming rather than the power metal popular at the time.
