      Interesting listen

Atomkraft possibly changed the metal world forever with their brand of proto-thrash metal but with several band line-up changes and a lack of commercial success, they are rarely credited with it. Initially just another band in the NWOBHM movement, their style differed from their contemporaries as they played a quicker brand of metal with vocals ranging from an almost motorhead sound to the occasional screaming track and heavy militant drumming rather than the power metal popular at the time.

The booming vocals had to have influenced Slayer as they just sound to similar at times not to have done, the growls and screams thrown in often before guitar solos may seem a little tame to the racket which can be created now but stand out as special for the time of making.

Atomkraft's work is largely a miss mash of EP's, Demos and just the 1 full LP. This CD puts together the best of that work and throws in a couple of unreleased tracks to create a definitive compilation that is a must have for metal lovers!
