= Steps- The Tour edition=
i would say Steps were the modern day group compared to the Bucks Fizz, and although I would not say I was a die hard fan, but on the holiday camps some of the Steps songs had the routines and you danced to them as you were on holdiay
When Steps got together for the reunion tour in 2012 I have to confess I brought the CD, when assistant smiled, I said it was for my daughter.
Within the set are 2 discs, the first is the CD which has all the songs on, the 2nd is a karaoke version of the songs.

=Order of Release=
This has all of Steps hits, and the one particular feature that I was impressed with was the songs are in the order that they were released.
I would say that the songs are very catchy, and all have an up beat chorus which makes them easy to listen to, and not sounding old (although at times I feel it) you can listen to what there saying.
I certainly know from first time around that they are sounds that had a routine with them, which was soon copied by holiday camps, their staff then passed on the dance routines to families, and then the children were soon mum, can I have the CD, it reminds me of holidays.
Even in the original days of Steps, Claire seemed to be the strongest of the singers, and on this CD again this comes through as well, although the others are good, with most groups your find that there is one or two people who are stronger than the others.
This is my bug bearer with a lot of these "Best of CDs" as you generally have brought the songs previously they just happen to be in a different order, or there may be one or two more songs.
I had the original Greatest hits in 2001, then they had the Gold Greatest Hits in 2011, which is fair enough it is a 10 year anniversary, there music is still being played, so why not jump on the band wagon, but for this CD to be released just over 12 months later in 2012, when i compared the 2011 CD there are just 2 additional songs, (I know him so well and Dancing Queen), yes you do get the karokee CD, but for thats a dust collector, in hindsight had I have known I would have just got the 2 songs from Amazon as a download and saved a few quid.
=But hey thats the music industry for us!-
I have been a fan of Steps ever since...well forever! So you can imagine my delight when I heard that they would be making a comeback! Unfortunately I was unable to go and see them on their recent tour, so I was very happy to learn that they had released a CD to go with their tour.
Steps: The Tour Edition is a Steps CD which was released in 2012; the CD is therefore very recent. The CD is currently available to buy from Amazon for a price of £10.99 which I do think is very expensive. The CD consists of two Cds; the first featuring all of the Steps' songs and the second CD featuring the karaoke versions.

The CD features all of the Steps hits right from the beginning. I love the fact that the songs are in order of their release; this is good because it is as though you are listening to the Steps story whilst listening to the songs. The songs are the kind which you can just keep listening to over and over again without getting tired of hearing.
Being a huge Steps fan; I love all of their songs! I can honestly say that there aren't any songs that I dislike on here. My favourite songs are definitely; Last Thing On My Mind, One For Sorrow, Better Best Forgotten, Deeper Shade of Blue, Summer of Love....the list goes on.
The songs are really up-beat with catchy choruses. When listening to this album there is no way that you can just sit there and listen to it; all of the songs are ones which make you get up and dance.
Whilst we all know that Claire was the best vocalist in Steps (she's great on here), the others sound ok too.
One thing which annoys me is that this is definitely a CD to make money out of the loyal fans. I mean how many 'greatest hits' albums can one band have? They had their 'Gold: Greatest Hits' CD out back in 2001, then at the end of 2011 they released another greatest hits CD with all their hits...and now this...except this has a karaoke CD featuring all of their songs. There are only two extra songs (I Know Him So Well and Dancing Queen). So really, you may as well just get a Steps karaoke CD and buy the downloads of I Know Him So Well and Dancing Queen in order to save money.
This CD comes with lyrics which is great if you don't know the words. Obviously, if you are a huge Steps fan like myself, then you will not need the lyrics.
If you are a Steps fan and don't have any of their other Cds then I would recommend this CD.
Thanks for reading!
