Premium Review Trilenium - Sash: Another respectable album from Mr Sash! (232 words)

The guru of all things dance Sash! brings us this rather fine album which has a few hot hits and also some less impressive moments Who: Sash! are a collective, but the frontman is DJ Sasha Lappensen, you can see half of him on the front cover of the album. When: In 1997 Sash reached number two in the charts with 'Encore Une Fois' and followed this up with a run of huge top ten hit singles. Tracks: The big one on here is the number two hit 'Adelante' which features the vocal talents of Rodriguez. A super riff played by an accordian over some pounding beats. Premium Review This Millenium’s Trilenium! (861 words)

Rating:

Firstly, before listening to this album, I would try and get the bad (if not, cheesy) image of Sash out of your mind. Only then, can you actually enjoy this album! I must admit - I know there is not much hype about this album, but in my eyes, it’s really good! It does follow more of a pop theme, but the clubby sounds just draw you in. The album starts off with ROCK THE BLOCK. This is Sash’s attempt of Hard House, but really, it fails to do so! It’s more of just an introduction to the album. The first part (where a man speaks in a disorted voice is quite odd, but then he woman’s vocals comes in, and it just gets your toe ...  Read the complete review

Introduction. :::::::::::::::::::: Sash is one of the kings of euro pop. With many hits in the UK and the rest of the world his hits include, La Primarvera, Encore une fois, Ecuador and Mysterious Times. This third album which follows after the previous albums, It’s My Life and Life Goes on, once again is crammed full of dance hits and also reunites one of his older collaborations that being Tine Cousins in the smash hit “Just Around the Hill”. The Album Tracks. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: 1. Rock the Block [ 3:46 ] The opening track bursts onto the scene with a tunnel effect and a creepy male voice ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Where Have They Gone? (257 words)

I was a big Sash fan when they appeared in 1997 with the great "Encore Une Fois". They got better, then seemed to get worse and now have disappeared. I bought the album "Trilenium" when it first came out. It had a mixture of types of songs on it from good dance ones to slow naff ones. From the album they released "Adelante", "Just around the hill" and "With my own eyes". Adelante was a great song. It was dancy and had a good beat. Just around the hill was a slow one. I bought the cd single and it has quite a good dance version of this song. The original isn't really my style though. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Trilenium - Sash: Sash a brillianté récord. (225 words)

I used to be a fan of Sash when he first appeared on the dance scene a few years back. This album seems to have kept him alive for some time know, I notice he is already releasing 'Greatest' Hits. However, I don't feel he is quite ready for that, having reached a peak of recognition about a year or two ago, the name doesn't seem to get used so much anymore. In the charts (where most folk get there music knowledge) Sash hasn't featured for donkeys years. This may be where the lack of recognition stems. Although we still some of his more tracks around and about. The Trilenium Album has a few of the recognised hits on, the most ...  Read the complete review
