Instrumentally the band are quite gentle on a lot of these tracks with small blasts of heavy stuff and fast mood changes securing a tight sound. The lyrics, quite typically for Austrian or German bands singing in English - are a bit on the cheesy side but they are certainly not a bad band and in fact rather underrated in my eyes. Trinity is the 3rd album by Visions of Atlantis and is probably their best so far. Released in June, 2007 on Napalm Records. The Austrian symphonic power metal band are quite progressive sounding and have that epic aura that early Nightwish did. The operatic vocals of Merlissa Ferlaak are sublime and Mario Plank (great surname for a carpenter) has improved on both his English and singing and specifically singing in English from previous albums. Though he does sound a bit Eurovision still when compared to Ferlaak.
