Having said that, it is a great summary of his 1989/1990 live shows and it does have some of the best song he did on that tour. Highlights of this highlights album, for me, are: The phenomenal version of Sgt Peppers with the guitar middle section All My Trials (a rare Macca song, which I actually see is not included on the other T...more

Rating:

I am finding it hard to give a rating to this CD as it deserves 5* for being so brilliant but 3* because it's just an abridged version of the Tripping The Live Fantastic album (look on here and Amazon for it and see the full tracklisting). Great new songs, Who said the 80's were bad anyway? Needs a few listensBit if a shock for current Dandy's fans

Paul unplugged Mediocre song choices

A very good album that carries on the Runrig sound 30 years after they formed People will be wary about the new lead singer, but needn't be, he really suits the bands sound

Classic Rock - 1991

No real duff tracks, Progression Dull finisher

Some great songs The secret track isn't worth the wait

With No Human Intervention - Aborym
An interesting project combining extreme metal and dance/industrial. True fusion is rare, most songs falling into one category or the other with disappointing simplicity

So This Is Great Britain - Holloways
A decent debut of catchy tracks Won't appeal to many who don't appreciate Indie music

Slaughter And Apparatus - Aborted
Aborted continue to improve, refining and incorporating further melodic elements into their sound. Owes a significant debt to Carcass' 'Heartwork,' preventing it from being groundbreaking.

Riders Of The Plague - Absence
Making melodic death metal interesting again. Still owes its sound entirely to earlier Swedish bands.

Obscuritatem Advoco Amplectere Me - Abruptum
You may get an unreasonable sense of the connoisseur from owning something so obscure. The album.

Metal Heart - Accept
Accessible pop-tinged metal that still sounds great, with a wide diversity of styles. Some inevitably terrible, awful songs.

Horrorhammer - Abscess
Fairly enjoyable mix of death metal and hardcore punk. Hugely inconsistent and lacking in substance.

Deceptive Awareness - Ablaze In Hatred
Some great modern doom on the even-numbered songs. Some incredibly average modern doom in-between.

Abomination - Abomination
Fine early death metal. Repetitive and derivative.

Abydos - Abydos
A great modern metal opera combining the best elements of the style and few of the weaknesses. The concept and lyrics themselves are far from riveting.
