Advantages: great songwriting, great performances

Donovan. = Not the British Bob Dylan, rather the Scottish Woodie Guthrie. Donovan was a god in folk music industry. With his loose Scottish accent, his great guitar playing, and his exceptional lyrics, this man has become my idol. But more on the CD.

My favourite song on the whole CD would have to be the song, Universal Solider. Here's a small Lick-O-Tha-Lyrics:

I love Donovan especially because his music isn't extremely loud, it isn't very flashy, but it's well written lyrics, and well performed music. Now most of his songs don't deal with liberal ideas. An
d that's okay. He's still a very admirable musician though. Now I really like songs that have a meaning, a moral, but ones without are almost a relief. Oh well, buy Donovan's CD. It's got all the great songs, it's got all the famous songs. Like Mellow Yellow. He is a really great poet and now you know it.
