Cyndi Lauper Time after time The Best of Cyndi Lauper C.D Girls just want to have fun - 9/10. This song is great the lyrics make it good and fun, of course we want to have fun. I am sure most of you know this song, it is annoyingly catchy and repeats it’s self over and over. “When the working day is done You know girls they want to have fun” She Bop - 10/10 This is my favourite track on the whole C.D, the song is quite strange, when I listen to this I feel like going mad, you know one of those smash the house up numbers. A perfect ending to the album, and all the tales she has given us with this anthology. When a musician melds instruments, vocals, images, and meaningful lyrics, I call them a Bard. C Cyndi Lauper is not the only Bard out there, but there are never enough of them! If you have never experienced Cyndi, this is a great album to start with! ...

Cyndi Lauper was one of the more flamboyant pop stars of the 1980's with her eccentricity, bizarre taste in clothes and of course, her ability to pen a catchy tune or two. The New Yorker, who managed to beat Madonna in claiming the Best Newcomer award at the 1984 Grammys, has had a number of massive hits throughout the world, and the best of those can be heard on her 1994 compilation '12 Deadly Cyns... And Then Some'. Abandoning the tendency to tracklist a greatest hits package chronologically, the album kicks of with 'I'm Gonna Be Strong', one of her hits from the mid 1990's.
