Now it has to be said that the band's singles "True No. 9" and "Magic Touch" are definitely the best ones on the album, True No.9 is particularly good, awfully catchy and slightly eccentric. That's not to say that the other tracks are bad though, they still have quite a fun sound but lack the catchiness of the two singles.

True Romance is the debut album by Golden Silvers, I have to say that without much connection to British media, I'd never heard of them before and only ended up giving this album a go due to it being a latest album by an act at Glastonbury and I decided to review each band taking part! I was relatively impressed with these guys though, behind their somewhat jokey novelty look lie a relatively talented band who have some catchy synths and unique vocals coming from singer Gwilym Gold, some Peter Hookish bass lines coming from Ben Moorhouse's bass and tight drumming from Robden Alexis Nunez.
