Advantages: Just the Hits

Disadvantages: The rest of the songs

When I first heard Buggin sung by Dane Bowers, I thought it was quite good and when Out of Your Mind feat Dane and Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) came out in the summer and got to number 2! I thought that the album must be good and waited eagerly to get my hands on it.

Both of the 2 releases were very good especially out of your mind and then they released True Step Tonight which featured Brian Harvey and was also a good slice of Garage/dance music.

The album was finally released on November 27th and I rushed to the Shop to get the album and couldn’t wait to get it home to listen to.

When I got home I put it in the CD player and Began playing it. The 3 Hits came first and then I realized why. The rest of the album is basically Rubbish!

I couldn’t believe it, all of the other tracks seemed so different in style and didn’t sound as polished as the releases. The Voices tend to change to rough voice raps, which tend to spoil the album.

What was also strange was the lack of tracks as this album only has 10 and still was no difference in price. As I looked at the track listing which included the likes of Kele Le Roc and Neutrino, I asked myself how could this CD have gone so wrong!

The next song sung by Kele Le Roc is OK but they don’t use her voice in the way it should be used and therefore don’t use it to its potential and the song is a big disappointment.

Most of the album could be seen as a whole song as the beat stays mostly the same throughout. The only other OK track to me is Sunshine and that’s not that good either!

This album is a Big disappointment and I would not recommend it to anyone! If you want to have a listen to it. see if any unlucky person has got the album and see if you can borrow it. Only the releases are good.

If you're looking for a good garage album you're better off getting Artful Dodgers album cos this is rubbish!

What are your views on this album? Do you agree with me?

2. Buggin feat. Dane Bowers
3. Out of Your Mind feat. Dane Bowers + Victoria Beckham
4. Not Taking You Back feat. Kele le Roc

6. Beng Beng feat. Top Cat
7. Club for Clowns feat. The Enforcer
8. Sunshine feat. Alan Chan

I had a lot of respect for Jonny L (one half of TruSteppers) before this venture of commercial cash-in proportions. From total respect on the drum n bass circuit to a desire to appear on Top Of The Pops? Lure of the lolly must have been too great...

I think that their production is great, but I think that they are too concerned about getting 'garage' credibility and thus will never be as good as classier acts such as the Artful Dodger or the Architechs

UUmm… not sure, as I haven't heard the album, but I may get it if it's going -really- cheap - CW666
