"Try This" is Pink's third studio album, released in November 2003 - almost 3 years ago. Everybody expected great things from Pink after she had moved away from the R'n'B sound of her debut album to create the masterpiece, "Missundaztood". But as it turned out Try This was dubbed an awful CD and a disappointment. But I disagree. While I admit that Try This is the weakest of Pink's four studio albums, I still do not find the CD weak or a disappointment. I think it is weak and bland in some areas, but there are some shining gems on this album which should not be overlooked. Even Pink herself doesn't think the album is totally up to ... After the success of my reviews recently I have decided to review two CD's that I never thought I would review. Here is number 1, Try This by Pink. --------------------- Who is Pink? --------------------- Born Alicia Moore, Pink is an American rock chick with an attitude. This shines through into her music and she is famous for her 'I Don't Care' attitude about everything. She has become more famous however for her powerful vocals and lyrics which have made her into the star she is today. She has become of the best singers to perform live (forgot where I read this), giving everything she has into each song. Here is the review: ... Read the complete review

**Introduction** After reviewing Pink's new album Funhouse I thought it would be a good idea to review all of her previous albums to keep up with my plan to review all of the albums from most of my favourite artists. I have chosen to review Try This which she released in 2003 as her third album after her two previous albums Can't Take Me Home and Mizzundastood. **Try This** On Try This Pink attempts to recreate the same rock style of Mizundastood whilst also developing that sound with a more electronic feel in some places. Try This is her Third album and she again works with Linda Perry and Billy Mann who co-wrote on her previous album ... Read the complete review

This was Pink's third album, released after the great success of Missundaztood, but it didn't get the same commercial or critical acclaim. Now I'm going to lay my cards on the table here and say that I think this is totally unfair: in my opinion this is a brilliant album, even better than its predecessor. I must confess that I might be biased. I don't know if I'm alone in this, but I find that with an artist or a group that I like, I often find that life mirrors art (or art mirrors life) when it comes to their albums: a particular album might reflect what's going on in my world. This certainly happens with Pink! Whereas the musically varied, lyrically tortured ... Read the complete review

After the transition from a promising R&B album to a successful deep and moving record, everybody expected 'M!ssundaztood: Part Two' for a new album - instead they got 'Try This', and nobody's complaining. It's harder, rockier, edgier, and in some people's opinions, better than its predecessors. The album kicks off with ‘Trouble’. A rock and country mix with a western-style video; this track is a perfect opening for the album. Secondly comes ‘God Is A DJ’. This track has been hailed ‘Get The Party Started – The Sequel’. An insanely catchy dance tune, with some good messages thrown in for listeners. ‘Last To Know’ is the ... Read the complete review
