Advantages: All I Wanna Do is a classic

Disadvantages: Too patch overall

Released in 1993, most people ( including me ) bought this on the strength of the brilliant "All I Wanna Do". The truth is that the aforementioned is by far and away the best track on the record. That's not to say that the rest of it isn't up to standard, it is - just not all of it.

The first 6 songs are excellent and if memory serves two or three of them were released as singles, "Run, Baby, Run" & "Leaving Las Vegas" spring to mind. "The Na-Na Song" (great title!) wasn't released but definitely should have been as it would have been a sure fire hit.

After that though, it tends to go down hill a bit. The next 5 tracks ( All I Wanna Do excluded ) are to be frank boring and the last 2 songs ( "We Do What We Can" & "I Shall Believe" ) will probably send you to sleep.

Having said all of that, this is still worth buying for the opening 6 tracks alone.

All in all, a fine debut effort from the girl destined for bigger and better things.
