Filosofem - Burzum - The first few tracks are superb atmospheric black metal at its finest The remainder of the album is nothingness
Lost Highway - Bon Jovi - A great new sound and approach from simply one of the best bands of our time! None- could this get any better? Okay, a couple of tracks might sound better live but still.....
Nordland Vol.2 - Bathory - Final masterpiece of unrelenting Viking metal, less showy and more atmospheric. Some songs are waaaaaaaaaaaaay too long.
A Virgin And A Whore - Eternal Tears Of Sorrow - Varied and distinctive melodic death metal. Keyboards get a little irritating, and guitar riffs are mostly just for the sake of rhythm.
Solitude Dominance Tragedy - Evergrey - Great atmosphere, and prog that doesn't show off (apart from the vocals). Gets a little samey.
Bonded By Blood - Exodus - Strong, archetypical thrash metal. Repetitive and dated.

Ben Kweller - Ben Kweller
Catchy melodies, smooth, listenable voice, vocals and harmonies; great familiar and original music,
Mixed genres including rock and roll, slow ballads. May sound too much like other familiar artists
Angel Witch - Angel Witch
Classic heavy metal.
Endless, tedious comparisons to other bands are inevitable.

Experimental death metal, foreshadowing major sub-genres.
Not An Angel - City Sleeps
The sound is quite bouncy and fun, the vocal lines are very well sung out.
The music is really quite generic and contrived; it's all been done before and better.
Most Known Unknown - Three 6 Mafia
A lot of big club club tunes
Orgasmatron - Motorhead
Great lyrics, fantastic tracks
Probably best for newbies to start with a Best-Of as it won't appeal to everyone
Borrowed Heaven - The Corrs
A couple of strong tracks
Most of the album is light, bland and rather dull
