This greatest hits compilation by Genesis was originally released in 1999. In 2007, the album was re-realeased as a 2 disc set with extra bonus tracks to coincide with the group's reunion tour. The newest edition CD is labeled as 'limited tour edition' but is still widely available to purchase. The album contains a mix of tracks from all eras of the band's creativity. Most of the tracks feature Phil Collins on vocals and are songs produced when the band were reduced to the trio of Collins, guitarist Mike Rutherford and keyboard maestro Tony Banks. There are some earlier tracks featuring original vocalist Peter Gabriel though and even one featuring little ... Read the complete review

I love Genesis, they always make me think of the eighties and oh what a wonderful time that was for everyone! This album gathers some of their biggest hits. Who are they: UK based rock group, with a strong commercial edge. Key members included Phil Collins and Mike Rutherford. Highlights: The aggressive delights of 'No Son Of Mine' really hits home, finding Phil in a mood. He seems to have so much anguish in this song, it is almost too hard for him to bear. A moody and assertive vocal and a commanding song. I am unsure of the merits of 'I Can't Dance' which is overlong and has a plodding rhythm to it, maybe it is ... Read the complete review

Genesis for those that dont know were a 70's rock band with peter gabriel as their lead singer, who was replaced soemtime later by the drummer phil collins. More of a cult rock band at the time they morphed into a commercial single/album/stadium selling band in the 1980's. With phil collins up front they produced a range of hits in the 80's and early 90's. This best of cd contains 18 tracks from genesis and no solo phil collins tracks. It contains many classics like invisiable touch, turn it on again , mama, land of confusion and the ballad in too deep. many of these tracks were hits in the 80's but it also contains the latter ... The title is Turn It On Again: The Hits and thats exactly what you get. Genesis's most famous songs from there illustraous career wiht numerous different line ups. They've had so mant albums you'd exoect this to be good and it doesn't fail to deliver. There a great mix of songs on here too, something for everyone. The best are Abacab, Mama, Tonight Tonight Tonight and theres a few good ballads too in the form of Hold On My Heart and Misunderstanding. Theres also a remix of The Carpet Crwalers too. I'd recommend this to anyone whos not sure about Genesis and hasn't heard much of their music. You'll find there something on here that ... Read the complete review

Genesis, one of the great bands of the eighties. This album, 'Turn it on Again', consists of 18 tracks. Which are: Turn it on again, Invisible Touch, Mama, Land of Confusion, I can't dance, Follow you follow me, Hold on my heart, Abacab, I know what I like, No son of mine, Tonight tonight tonight, In too deep, Congo, Jesus he knows me, That's all, Misunderstanding, Throwing it all away and the carpet crawlers. The songs need no introduction to all that have heard Genesis or Phil Collins music. My favourite songs would have to be 'Land of confusion', because when I listen to this song, I remember the video to it, it ... Read the complete review
